Butterfly fauna and other Wild life
A total of 35 species belonging to 19 genera of 7 families have been reported at KNP . Pieridae was the most commonly occurred family followed by Nymphalidae and Lycaenidae, Danaidae and Papilionidae, however, exhibited moderate presence.

Other common mammals includes Jungle cat, Fishing cat, Toddy cat, Jackal, Hyena, Flying fox, Porcupine, Blue bull, Sambar, Mongoose and Red faced monkey.
The common reptiles includes the Garden lizard, Sand skink, Indian monitor, Sand boa, Rat snake, Common krait, Cobra, Viper and Checkered keel back water snake.
The Skipper frog, Indian bull frog, Cricket Frog, Burrowing frog and Common toad are the common amphibians found in the park.
50 species of fishes have been reported. A few are listed below
Notopterus, Oxygaster Danio, Chela, Labeo, Catla, Cirrhinus, Puntius, Botia, Mystus, Ompok, Wallago,Clarias, Channa, and Colisa.
